Opportunities for More Children
Through our child support programs
At DSJP, our goal is to help create a society where every child has equal access to opportunity, primarily through child-focused support initiatives. We envision a world where a child’s future is not determined by their background or environment—and we are committed to being actively involved in the efforts to make that vision a reality.
Through my participation in various activities such as working with NPOs and attending symposia, I have come to feel the power and significance of young people like us taking initiative in addressing social issues. These experiences have broadened my perspective, exposed me to diverse values, and helped me grow both personally and intellectually. That is precisely why I hope children, too, can believe in their own potential and be encouraged to take on new experiences—challenges that will help them grow, just as they have helped me.
Standing alongside children and their unique needs
I am mainly involved in child support initiatives within Japan as part of this organization. As we carry out these activities, I believe it is essential to carefully consider the unique challenges and needs of each child. I place importance not only on ensuring equality of opportunity, but also on providing support that reflects a deep commitment to equity—recognizing that fairness sometimes requires different forms of support.
I also hope to bring in the knowledge and experiences I’ve gained from my personal studies and other activities outside the organization, and apply them meaningfully to the work we do here. Ultimately, it would mean so much to me if some of the children we support today are inspired to one day become our partners in this work—or go on to address social issues in their own way elsewhere. That is the kind of cycle of empowerment and growth I hope we can help spark.
