Kailie Puhn

DIRECTOR

Expanding Possibilities Through Learning—for Everyone

Leveraging my own experiences

Delivering leadership training and education

My name is Kairi Ryan Puhn, and I serve as the Director of Global Education at Dream Sustainability Japan. I am from Okinawa Prefecture and of Japanese-American heritage. Having grown up moving between the two countries, I have gained a deep understanding of intercultural communication and extensive experience in bilingual education.

With a strong belief in the importance of global readiness, I am committed to delivering high-quality English education to as many people as possible, helping Japan adapt more effectively to an increasingly globalized world. As we enter an era where the question is not just "How well do you speak English?" but rather "What can you do with English?", our Global Education Division is dedicated not only to developing language skills, but also to nurturing the next generation of leaders who can thrive in international society.

Ensuring access to education for every child

Provide Global Education

By focusing on the development of leadership and creativity, I hope to move closer to this goal through various activities such as school outreach programs and online English courses offered across Japan. Due to financial difficulties, I have often had to give up on things I truly wanted to do or learn. During high school, I couldn’t afford to attend cram school or study abroad. However, thanks to a scholarship, I was able to attend a university in Tokyo. That is precisely why I want to provide access to high-quality global education for those who are economically disadvantaged—so they, too, can expand their future possibilities and pursue their dreams without limitations.
