To all our individual supporters and partner organizations—thank you for your continued warm support. As the president, I would like to take this opportunity to share our values and the story behind the founding of Dream Sustainability Japan.

My interest in the world beyond Japan began during high school, when I first aspired to study at a university overseas.I learned that extracurricular activities play an important role in international university admissions, so I started to pursue activities that matched my personal interests—particularly in international cooperation and children’s rights. While my initial motivation was academic advancement, I soon discovered the joy and significance of taking action for society as a member of it. Through these experiences and the relationships I built with like-minded peers, we eventually decided to establish this organization in November 2024. Before incorporating, we spent time discussing what kind of organization we wanted to build and what goals we hoped to achieve. In the end, we committed to the vision of “creating a society where everyone can dream and take on challenges,” which led to the name Dream Sustainability Japan. The term “Sustainability” in our name reflects our desire not only to volunteer, but to operate in a way that ensures long-term impact—by building sustainable, socially driven business models.

Personally, I’ve been fortunate to have a supportive environment and mentors who believed in me. Thanks to their encouragement—and despite financial challenges—I was able to receive a full-ride scholarship to an overseas university and achieve one of my dreams. Now, I believe it’s my turn to give back to society. That’s why I’ve committed myself to supporting children and youth, especially those facing economic hardship—through education initiatives in Japan and international cooperation abroad. Our slogan, “Toward a society where everyone can pursue their dreams,” is a reflection of that very journey and commitment.
